Sara Galli attended the School of Modern Languages and obtained a degree in Political Science, before beginning her musical endeavors. She won the International Cascina Lirica and Giulietta Simionato International voice competitions.

Her first important role was Violetta in LA TRAVIATA at Sophia’s National Theatre in Bulgaria. She took part in the absolute première of  UN RACCONTO DI NATALE by Carlo Galante at the Teatro Comunale in Modena, Italy, conducted by Carlo Boccadoro and directed by Francesco Esposito. She performed as Pamina in THE MAGIC FLUTE alongside German bass Kurt Moll in Oberammergau, Germany.

She portrayed the role of Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen at Teatro Politeama in Lecce, where she also gave her first performances in the title role of AIDA, conducted by Carlo Palleschi. At Dal Verme Theatre in Milan, she sang Anna in LE VILLI by Puccini next to baritone Leo Nucci, directed by Antonello Madau Diaz, and under the baton of Gian Paolo Sanzogno. In Freiburg, Germany she undertook again Aida, with Kirchner’s mise-en-scene. She made her New York debut at Carnegie Hall singing Beethoven Mass in C and Mozart’s concert aria K 505. Her opera debut in the U.S.A. took place in California at Fresno’s Grand Theatre where she sang Desdemona in Verdi's OTELLO, a role she repeated in Italy at the opera houses of Rovigo, Savona, Rimini and Trento. With the prestigious Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in Tel Aviv, she performed Mimì in LA BOHEME, Giampaolo Bisanti conducted. She made a successful debut as Fiordiligi in COSì FAN TUTTE at Opera Ireland in Dublin. At Carlo Felice Theatre in Genoa she sang the demanding role of Duchessa Elena in Verdi’s I VESPRI SICILIANI conducted by Renato Palumbo and directed by Andrey Serban. She appeared as Aida at Deutsche Oper Berlin in a new production by Christopher Adler, and made her first appearance at the Arena in Verona with her signature role AIDA. Additionally, she sang her first Leonora in Il TROVATORE at Teatro Solis in Montevideo, Uruguay directed by Roberto Oswald. Recently, she added the role of Vitellia in Mozart's LA CLEMENZA DI TITO to her repertoire at Savona Chiabrera Theatre, Italy and repeated the role of AIDA at Teatro Verdi in Trieste, under the conduction of M° Nello Santi with mise-en-scène by Hugo De Ana. She got back to Genoa Carlo Felice for a new production of THE MERRY WIDOW singing the both roles of Glawary and Valencienne, directed by Federico Tiezzi and conducted by Christopher Franklin. In Lucca (Teatro del Giglio), Novara (Teatro Coccia) and Bergamo (Teatro Donizetti) she sang Donna Elvira (DON GIOVANNI by Mozart).

In 2011 she portrayed the role of AIDA in Il Cairo Opera House and in Oldenburg and appeared as Duchessa Elena (I VESPRI SICILIANI) in Torino Teatro Regio, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda with the mise-en-scene by Davide Livermore.
